Heritage House buildings and grounds are beautiful and unique, making them very popular for photography and filming. While we welcome both, we are careful to tailor sessions to best avoid interfering with or disrupting guests or events.

Professional photography and videography on the Heritage House grounds requires a permit, which must be scheduled and purchased in advance. Please submit the Media Inquiry form if you are interested in booking a session. For guests who have booked an event on the grounds, a photo permit is included; only a reservation is needed. For guests staying at the inn, an exterior permit is $25; interior/exterior is $65. For guests who have not booked an event and are not staying at the inn, an exterior permit is $50; interior/exterior is $95.
Our guests are welcome to take personal-use photos without a permit. The above applies to professional or staged shoots.
*Indoor includes access to the downstairs of the main house and, if available, one inn bedroom.
A standard permit is issued for 1.5 hours of time on-site, for groups of up to 6 people.
Shooting Location
Heritage House offers a shooting location extremely unique to New Mexico. The exterior offers a quaint farmhouse from some angles and a grand Victorian at others. An acre+ of mature trees and green grass surround the property, as well as a small, active horse stable, all set just 2 miles from urban Albuquerque. The property also offers quaint Victorian parlors, an expansive sunroom, outdoor and indoor cafe or bar settings, a variety of antique/traditional and modern-Victorian bedrooms and indoor sitting areas, and multiple outdoor decks and seating areas. We have on-site parking of 40 spaces, and two large, additional parking lots, often rented for film camps, across the street to our west and south, mere yards away.
For high school dance-related photography, we offer a special of $60 for an outside permit, for groups of 15 and under total persons, for a one-hour duration.
